Full-Day float trips on the Wild & Scenic Lower Deschutes River, the most popular float is 10 miles long from Warm Springs to Trout Creek from late April-December annually. Beautiful High Desert scenery and wildlife abound. 

Fishing is not allowed from the boat on the Lower Deschutes River; wading only (the boat is used for transportation to various fishing sites during the stretch). If you are hoping to fish from the boat, take a look at our McKenzie River Float Trips.

Beginner, Advanced & Curious Anglers Welcome!

2025 Season : Full day trips from $575 (1 person), +$75 each additional person (up to 3 anglers max).

Full day trips include approximately 8 hours of guided fly fishing, along with a pre-prepared boxed lunch & beverages (non-alcoholic). Also included in your guide trip fee is all-inclusive fly fishing equipment, river shuttle, rental boots and waders, and a souvenir water bottle, yours to keep! ​

What's not included in trip price : BLM Boater passes, fishing licenses, tribal permits (if required), alcoholic beverages, and guide gratuities are not included. All additional details will be sent along with your booking inquiry paperwork.

Lower Deschutes River Half Day Float Trip

Half Day Floats. A shorter 2.5 mile float trip on the Wild & Scenic Lower Deschutes River during either the morning to mid-day, or late afternoon + early evening. Perfect for those that don't want a full day on the water, but still want to get out there! Picture perfect sunrise or sunsets and a chance for some great fishing. Beginner & Advanced Anglers Welcome!

2025 Season : Half day trips (when available) from $475 (1 person), $75 each additional person (3 anglers max). 

Half day trips (when available) include approximately 4 hours of guided fly fishing. Also included in your guide trip fee is all-inclusive fly fishing equipment, river shuttle, rental boots and waders, and a souvenir water bottle, yours to keep!

Lower Deschutes River Walk & Wade Trip

Lower Deschutes Walk and Wade fly fishing trips are a great option to navigate the waters from the shore, getting you into some of the hidden gems of these beautiful waters. Walk and Wade trips do not have boat maximum angler restrictions, making it a great option for larger groups and those wanting more of a private fly fishing school type of experience. Beginner & Advanced Anglers Welcome! Full and Half Day (when available) Walk & Wade Trip Options. 

2025 Season : Full day trips from $525 (1 person), +$100 per additional person (up to 4 anglers max). 

Full day Walk and Wade trips include approximately 6 hours of guided fly fishing. Also included in your guide trip fee is all-inclusive fly fishing equipment, rental boots and waders, and a souvenir water bottle, yours to keep!

FALL STEELHEAD, Winter & Early Spring Full Day Float Trips : Lower Deschutes River, Maupin Area

Fall Steelhead (sometimes even Salmon), Winter and early Spring single full-day float trips are available on the Lower Deschutes River from the Maupin area.

This stretch of the river is gorgeous and quiet during the off-season times of the year when other portions of the Lower Deschutes river are closed. All fly fishing equipment, river shuttle, rental boots and waders, food and beverages provided.
